How to identify the stage deck quality
We buy many aluminum stage from China, but do you know how to identify the anti-slip plywood quality ? Let us share you some methods as below:
1. Board core material
For anti-slip plywood, ususally used deck core are poplar and birch in Market.
The air-dry density of birch is 0.69g/cm³. The wood is relatively compact, hard, not easily deformed, and expensive.
The air-dry density of poplar is 0.44g/cm³, the price is low, the color is beautiful, but the texture is soft.
In terms of materials, birch > poplar
2. Glue
Glues used for plywood boards are urea-formaldehyde glue, phenolic glue, formaldehyde-free glue, etc.
Urea-formaldehyde glue is formed under the catalytic action of urea and formaldehyde and is easily decomposed when exposed to strong alkali.
Phenolic glue is made of phenol and formaldehyde as its main raw materials and has strong water resistance and high temperature resistance.
Formaldehyde-free glue, which is a glue that does not contain formaldehyde, such as MDI glue.
The order of environmental protection degree and price of glue is: formaldehyde-free glue > phenolic glue > urea-formaldehyde glue
More than 90% of the market is urea-formaldehyde glue
3. craftsmanship
Direct post > Second post
Secondary molding>One-time molding
Machine paving > Manual paving
Full drying>Normal drying
4. Number of layers of multi-layer boards
For plywood of the same thickness, the more layers, the better the quality
Such as 11 layers of 18cm plywood
Better than 9 layers of 18cm plywood
5. Smell
If the board emits a strong pungent odor
It may be that environmental protection is not up to standard
Environmentally friendly multi-layer boards emit the smell of wood itself
6. Listen to the sound
When you hit the board with a 50cm long stick, the sound is "brittle" and the quality is good. the sound is "muffled" and the quality is bad.
7. Flatness
Use the aluminum square tube to slide horizontally on the board surface, and you can feel the flatness of the board surface.
Identification: High-quality plywood, because of its good materials and fine workmanship, the board surface will be very flat and smooth to the touch. Inferior plywood, due to its poor materials, rough workmanship, serious internal stacking and core separation, uneven board surface, and convex and concave feeling to the touch.
8.Thickness
High-quality plywood, the thickness tolerance between the entire batch of boards is small, and the thickness of different parts of a single plywood is uniform;
Inferior plywood has a large thickness tolerance between the whole batch of boards. The thickness of different parts of a single plywood is uneven, and the thickness difference in different parts is even greater than 1mm.
